We ask: How to connect modern humans with nature?
To answer we design interactive interior objects made out of wood from Finland.
Cycloops are hanging wooden sculptures that bring the natural material indoors. The rest finds itself through interaction.

Function
Cycloop spins by human touch and wind.
There is no motor to make it spin endlessly.
The Cycloop is like a fireplace - calmly amusing.
Materials
Cycloops are made out of handpicked plywoods sourced in Finland. Each peace has a unique wood grain.
The surface is finished with almond oil. Oil makes the natural patterns glow and makes the Cycloop feel soft.
Japanese fishing line is used for hanging. Chosen for its strength and durability. The line is guaranteed to lasts for years. Meanwhile, we research about organic alternatives.
Production
The Cycloop is produced 50% by human 50% by machine.
The crafting is done in 6 phases where 2 people give attention to every detail. From choosing the best woods, to hand polising the edges of the Cycloop for the soft touch.
Science in design
In Spring 2025 Koje conducted a scientific study with PhD Doctor in neuroscience Susanne Kumpulainen. In office room setting, 51 participants were studied. Two situations: empty room and the room with spinned Cycloop. Participants' heart rate was measured and a survey asked to understand if the Cycloop's design has positive physical and mental effects.
The results imply that Cycloop improves concentration, relaxes mind, makes people dream and bring the sense of a shared experience into the room.

Purpose
We believe that wood indoors connects people with nature. Nature brings the much needed sense of clarity.
Intuitive design allows the mind to focus while resting, making subtle feelings more present.
